I recently bought a used MBWE2 with two 1TB disks (one EADS and another EARS).
It was bricked but I managed to recover it by running "the ultra fast script" (from iknowsomething.com) on one of the disks.
The other I deleted all partions from, and the NAS adopted it.
After some days of use I suddenly got an email stating that the DataVolume was degraded. I looked in the log:
10/16 23:40:23 NAS daemon.alert wixEvent: Volume Status - Volume 'DataVolume' is in degraded mode.
The NAS still works, so I'm not quite sure what the impact is.
I've tried to take both disks out (seperately) and yet I get the same message.
I google'd around but didn't find a definitive answer, and not in relation to the MBWE2. The closest was something about WD EARS disks which has 4K blocks and needs alignment. But again, I'm not certain if I should do something about it, and in that case what.
I'm using firmware version 01.02.06.
Please help me or just point me in some direction :-)
