I've purchased a 1TB version of MB World recently. Before I even power on I disassambled the unit hooked disks to my linux box and backed up (bit by bit) to experiment later with different size and brand drives.
Then I put disks back in (making sure that Disk in A and B in B). Powered on the unit, blue light came on. Checked on my router that it got an IP from my router. Finally sticked in the install CD to install Mionet (It is the most stupid app I've seen anyway)
There my problem starts. After registering to the mionet and entering mionet ID and PASS mionet stops doing anything further. Sometimes app does not responding at all (freezes). Sometimes it logs me in, I see mionet process running, and I seem like logged in (when I right click mionet icon on the taskbar I see "logout" and "manage" and "stop mionet") but it is not possible to go any further.
I cannot do anything else, create shares etc. or even get into configuration screen. Stopping and Starting mionet does not help. I even reinstalled zillion times, installed on 4 different computers to experiment, but no luck, all the same result
I know that the box booted (gets an IP and I can ping). I tried to access thru http but doesnt work. When I scan the boxes IP with nmap in linux I only see port 139 open (I scan ports 1-65535)
How do I configure further the box? Am I doing anything wrong. The very first thing I would like to do is to get rid of mionet and install ssh, but because http does not work I cannot get into configuration and go to the Martin Hinners page to get ssh enable script.
Any help would be appreciated. I even start thinking that the box is faulty (Or I broke it somehow but it is unlikely because the box boots OK)
