Has anyone tried configuring a VPN Server on their MyBook yet? If they have, what degree of success have they had? I don't really want to brick it experimenting if someone already knows the solution or that it is not possible.
My brief is to have a VPN that provides IPSec tunnels through a VPN Server running on the MyBook, the client running on my Nokia mobile phone.
Of the research I have done, I can see on Optware the OpenVPN packages, has anyone tried to install/configure this yet? If so, what pitfalls were there? An alternative VPN Server could be OpenSwan, but I'm not clear that it is available or can be compiled for the MyBook chipset, can anyone answer this?
Finally, does anyone know if the above VPN Servers provide IPSec tunnels, I presume they both are capable, as this is the protocol used by the Nokia VPN client, so I'm assuming the Nokia will be able to connect to either OpenVPN or OpenSwan.
Please note, I do not want this discussion to morph into one about the Nokia client, I am mainly interested in configuring the VPN on the MyBook. However, any assurance that the Nokia 80/95 VPN software (when configured correctly) will connect to OpenVPN/OpenSwan is appreciated.
Thanks given to anyone that objectively replies to this thread.
