I am new to Linux. The WDBW is a great device to learn. I have some problems however to figure out how to access external plugged USB.
I tried a multi card reader and now i plugged a simple FAT32 USB stick.
But i do not see an external share. Nor can i see a new device from the terminal emulator.
lsusb gives :
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 07ab:fcf6 Freecom Technologies
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
and mount gives:
/dev/root on / type ext3 (rw,noatime,data=ordered)
proc on /proc type proc (rw)
devpts on /dev/pts type devpts (rw)
sys on /sys type sysfs (rw)
/dev/md3 on /var type ext3 (rw,noatime,data=ordered)
/dev/md4 on /shares/internal type ext3 (rw,noatime,data=ordered)
usbfs on /proc/bus/usb type usbfs (rw)
So the USB seems to be recognized.
But how can i list the files on this USB stick?
When i remove the USB disk it say it will remove /dev/sdb
But when i type ls /dev/sdb it only echos /dev/sdb
And when i look with winscp, and can not find any external share.
So the real question is : does this usb seems to work right? And how do i access it.
