Like most people here, I have to state the obvious: I’m a Linux-newb, so any help is of use.
I bought my MBWE (500GB) this November and the first mistake I made was installing the MioNet BS that comes along on the CD. That’s been taken care of and I’ve stopped the mionet-service in Windows (running XP Pro btw) and done the “# $SCRIPTS_PATH/mionet.sh start” edit in the post_network_start.sh file.
I’ve used the tutorial on http://www.mybookworldedition.co.nr/ and some parts from the http://kyyhkynen.net/stuff/mybook/ site. I’ve installed Nano, gotten rid of the mionet process, gone through all the steps on Reducing disk usage and I’ve created the RAM-drive. I did all this without checking if my drive was still visible in Windows.
Now, I can’t find the drive. The folder /shares/internal/ is empty. The Web-GUI just says “Storage status” but gives no data from the drive as it used too. Though I don’t think the drive has been damaged, since the smartspin_down script still works. Every time I log on with my user via SSH the drive spins up (drive name in that script is “sda”).
My guess is that the drive has been unmounted some how, but I don’t know how to remount it. Or do you think something else has happened?
Thank in advance!
