First of all, let me just say that I know practically nothing about Linux.
I had trouble with read/write permissions on my disk, and solved it by installing SSH. After sucessfully setting up SSH and afterwards attempting to install a ftp server on MBWED, the disk disappeared and it could not be found not even when plugging it directly with a ethernet cable (it is usually plugged into a wireless router).
I then bought a SATA>USB converter so I could access it via my laptop, but the disk was still not found by Windows. I then discovered it in Disk Management, but it stated it as unknown partitions. I then used a Disk Data Recovery program to eksport my data to back it up, deleted all the partitions, created a new one and formatted the disk.
Now I wan't to restore the MBWED via the rescue procedure, but where and how do I enter
cd ~ su root [enter root passwd]
It doesn't make any sense.
