this WDMBW2TB drive was configured as RAID 0
after power failure it is inaccessible via the web.
if connected to the network, the blue rings start to flash intermittently upon boot up.
if powered up unplugged from lan, the drives appears to come on normally, but as soon as plugged into network the flashing resumes.
thanks to this website ive been able to ssh into it via putty to see that fdisk -l shows me
Disk /dev/sda: 1000.2 GB, 1000204886016 bytes 255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 121601 cylinders Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System /dev/sda1 4 369 2939895 fd Linux raid autodetect /dev/sda2 370 382 104422+ fd Linux raid autodetect /dev/sda3 383 505 987997+ fd Linux raid autodetect /dev/sda4 506 121601 972703620 fd Linux raid autodetect
this makes me think that one of the drives is being autmounted correctly, and something is wrong with the other.
there are no clicking noises, and as far as i can tell, both drives are spinning.
cd /dev/ shows sdb among many other entries, which leads me to think that that it just might need to be mounted , but havign read through this website for several days i'm not able to tell how (or if i came across it, i didn't understand it to recognize a solution).
i've seen plenty of articles on full debricking, but i need to recover as much data as possible.
i do not have a computer to attempt the "rescue procedure take 2" section of this website.
if i overlooked something on this site i would highly appreciate a link to continue trying to recover this.
any insight/help is highly appreciated.
