Hello everyone, my first post on this site but I have visited and used all of your amazing guides and forums!
As I never vulture forums like this, I have spent way too many hours reading and reading to try to find an answer.
Ok now my problem, I have a white light connected to a netgear 3500 N-router. As per every other thread, I get low transfer speeds either connected wirelessly via laptop or hard wired desktop. This is any where from 1.2m to 700k. Now normally that would be my main issue but I can wait 8 hours for overnight transfers. My problem is streaming. Using my 360 and apple tv 2 with XBMC I'm having problems streaming anything to the apple tv, 360, or an pc. Of course streaming hd content will chew more bandwidth but I have tested a sd movie/tv show on the apple tv and was marred with buffering. Then testing the same file on the 360 it streamed fine. When tried on my laptop or desktop i have difficulting streaming. I am clueless as to why I have such low speeds and have tried everything with my router and the nas. I have transmission on the nas and have researched fiddling with twonky but I just don't want to touch anything with that yet.
I don't think it's the router as it is a gigabit router and as I have static ops and game servers ported their as well (yes, I've tried all of this without enabling those servers)
If anyone can help or just shed some light into what I can do to get better streaming out of this thing, it would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you for your time!
