I have a 2 TB MyBookLive. The data partition (/dev/sda4) is not getting mounted. I have opened the case and taken the harddisk out. I put it on a sata-to-usb converter and mounted on my laptop which runs debian. fsck on the laptop was showing lots of errors on /dev/sda4. Seeing that, in frustration, I formatted the partition to ext4.
After that, I could mount it on my laptop fine. But it still does not mount it when I put it back into MBL. How should /dev/sda4 be formatted? Does it need something else?
Can I mount it manually in MBL?
Also, could somebody tell me the directory structure/files that the system expects on the volume (other than the shares folder).
