A newly released NTFS-3G package allows mounting NTFS as R/W. Is someone able to test this out?

I've been using FAT external drives, as I need to shuttle them back and forth with a windows system. FAT is flakey and NTFS is more robust in many cases.
I own two mybook world editions and have hacked them both and set up my own rsyncd on them to automatically sync with each other and it works beautifully. However, this was all with help of step by step instructions, mostly. I'm not a wiz at trying new things and I have no idea on how to start to get NTFS-3G to work with r/w on external NTFS drives. Is there some linux crackerjack out there who can give it a shot and post some instructions here on how to do it? I'd be very grateful!
