So, I updated my firmware to the latest 1.02.16 and followed the instructions to get the OPTWARE package from the first steps. I then install nano and transmission (the only things I need and want on my MBWE) using:
ipkg install nano ipkg install transmission
I can then run the daemon using (I am not configuring anything at this point other than the settings.json to allow my IPS to connect on my local network):
EVENT_NOEPOLL=1; export EVENT_NOEPOLL /opt/bin/transmission-daemon
At this point, if I want to connect with my browser or GUI to the IP:9091 transmission is extremely slow. It usially took a few seconds to load, now the website takes minutes. If I do:
6746 root 5060 S transmission-daemon 6747 root 5060 S transmission-daemon 6748 root 5060 R transmission-daemon 6749 root 5060 S transmission-daemon
Is it normal to have 5 processes (4 stopped; 1 running)?
I have tried following more advanced setups from these pages (creating the S90Transmission startup script, etc.), even using the feature pack install… all result in a veeeeery slow install of Transmission. Until now I was using it with no problems for more than 2 years! I have kept this simple so you can see what a clean install produces.
Any ideas what this could be? I feel my system is just slower (install nano takes around 10min when before I remember it being quite quick, the feature pack took almost 1 hour to instal running the script).
Thanks for your help,
