I already have openssl version 0.9.7 from optware as follows:
openssl - 0.9.7m-4 - Openssl provides the ssl implementation in libraries libcry
As I am following a guide to configure Transmission, it advices to install openssl 0.9.8g. Without removing the currently installed openssl version, I downloaded openssl-0.9.8g.tar.gz, extracted using tar and attempted to configure it. When I ran ./configure, from the extracted folder, I get the error:
bash: ./configure: No such file or directory
I tried this with version openssl-0.9.8h, and I got the same error.
Another thing I would like to find out is which folder does ssl reside in my current openssl version?
Appreciate the advice. Thanks!
