FeaturesPack Manager does not install on a MBL Duo perfectly. There are some issues with AccessBook permissions which i have mentioned in another thread.
However there are some additional problems with the MBL Duo and FeaturesPack Manager. Particularly that Transmission, No-Ip, and OpenVpn do not run on start up of the MBL. These programs must be manually started each time there is a reboot. While FeaturesPack Manager does have an option to set these programs to Run On Startup, the setting does not hold. Can i have some help so that i can create the necessary init.d and symbolic links to get these programs to Run On Startup? Maybe I can set up the commands in PuTTy myself.
I see that for Transmission the problem is in the file /var/www/fpkmgr/fpks/Transmission/configure.sh
if [ "$1" = "CONFIGSTARTUP" ];then if [ "$GUI_StartupMode" = "AutoStart" ];then if [ ! -e /etc/rc2.d/transmission-daemon ];then cp /var/www/fpkmgr/fpks/$folder/transmission-daemon /etc/rc2.d/transmission-daemon chmod +x /etc/rc2.d/transmission-daemon fi else if [ -e /etc/rc2.d/transmission-daemon ];then rm /etc/rc2.d/transmission-daemon fi fi DisplayMain=TRUE
The configure.sh script is placing the file tranmission-daemon in the etc/rc2.d folder. This is sort of strange since almost everything else in that folder are just symbolic links to the rc2.d folders. Would it be better to just place a symbolic link in the folder? The same issue is with noip2, it is just the file placed in the folder and not a symbolic link.
Using the guide on how to install Transmission, I made some changes that seems to have set up Transmission and NoIP to run on startup. Here is what I did:
cp /etc/rc2.d/transmission-daemon /etc/init.d/transmission-daemon cd /etc/init.d/ update-rc.d transmission-daemon defaults
I did the same thing for NoIP
cp /etc/rc2.d/noip2 /etc/init.d/noip2 cd /etc/init.d/ update-rc.d noip2 defaults
For OpenVPN there was one correct symbolic link in the etc/rc2.d folder, but none of the other startup folders had openvpn links, so i deleted the S19openvpn file in the etc/rc2.d folder, and then i used the same commands again to get all the proper links in the correct folders.
cd /etc/init.d/ update-rc.d openvpn defaults
