Ok, I was trying to get vsftpd working (which I did - sort of) and I messed something up.
Installed vsftpd and got it to a point where I could log in with a user. Could not upload files across my local network. This is very important for me to be able to do. I am using Filezilla on an XP box.
Somewhere along the way I changed something and now I can not get logged in to the Shared Storage Manager pages. I have tried the password I set as well as 123456 - nada.
Now when I try and connect with FTP I get the "500 OOPS: vsftpd: cannot locate user specified in 'ftp_username':ftp" message and can't connect.
So, any ideas on the password for Shared Storage? I'm thinking of resetting the password since that doesn't wipe anything out on the drive.
What might I have done?
Any ideas on the 500 error?
I'm sorry i can't tell you what I have done, just not sure, i was changing so many things.
I can post any info you need, just need directions on how to get it out of the box, I'm still blindly feeling my way around Linux.
I can still SSH in with all my user names.
