I have an unmodified mybookworld 500 gb. It doesn't show up on the network anymore. It started to hang it self and when I unplugged it it worked for a while. I managed to get almost 10 gb of files from it but now it doesn't seems to work anymore. The blue lights are on and the harddrive seems to work. I put the harddrive in my PC with Ubuntu (when using Vista it doesn't show up at all). I found only one partition that was 1 GB in size. I think there should be more. Please help me if you can.
Anyone? Really need some help. Is there something to do? Shouldn't it be more partitions?
Should have 4 partitions I think. Largest one is 400+G. How do you connect the drive to PC? SB? SATA? I can see all partitions in XP when connected with SATA.
I connect with SATA.
It doesn't look good for me if you are supposed to see all partitions. You don't have to do anything to see them I guess?
I started Computer Managment in Vista 64-bit. And then Storage/Disk Managment. I can see five partitions. 24 Mb "Unallocated", 2,80Gb, 102Mb, 965Mb and 461,89Gb all of them says "Healthy /Primary Partition".
Any ideas what to do now?
Is it possible to use another mybookworld, take it's hdd and replace it with mine?
You do see all the partitions, now you need to see the file system.
Use http://www.fs-driver.org/
Thank you very very much for your help. I managed to resolve all my files.
