I really need some help. Latest BIOS update killed my World Edition 2 (1TB) drive and now I am trying for days to restore data from it. My drives are only spanned and I didn't use RAID 5. Here is what I tried so far:
1. Mount both drives to a vista pc.
2. View and mount all partitions into vista.
3. One drive shows some data if I use the vista driver for Ext2/3 drives, but the other drive shows an unknown filesystem for partition 4 even though all partition types look correctly…
I also tried the rescue procedure from the forum and "renewed" partition 1-3 on each drive. It resulted in the drive starting to show me a blue circle again, but unfortunately there is no IP to connect to… :(
I also loaded UBUNTU live CD, but I can only mount the partitions I don't care about (1-3).
How can I mount partition 4? How can I mount them spanned?
What is the easiest way to get my data off the drive?
Thanks for your help in advance!
