One of the disks in my WD MyBook Mirror has just died and am about to replace it, however I'd like to take this opportunity to move away from NTFS and onto ext3.
Just wondering has anyone here done this successfully and if so what process did they follow..
1. With each drive removed from the casing, and mounted via a diferent enclosure, repartition and format to ext3
2. Insert both drives back into WD MyBook Mirror Enclosure.
3. Power it up and hope/presume it should simply attempt to resilver, which should be pretty quick given there would be no actual data.
4. Mounting to my Linux mint box or my tonido (ubuntu and only supports up to ext3), should just be a matter of connecting WD MyBook via
Thanks for any help.
