Hello all,

I'm trying to install amule (2.1.3) following the instructions given on this
web page: http://home.unitedtelecom.be/ut6226214/mybookworldedition/amule.html

The mbwe is using "firmware" 2.0.18 and gcc from optware but it fails to
compile it. This is the offensive error:

configure:2759: g++ conftest.cpp >&5/opt/lib/libstdc++.so: undefined reference to ‘muldf3@GCC_3.0’/opt/lib/libstdc++.so: undefined reference to ‘adddf3@GCC_3.0’/opt/lib/libstdc++.so: undefined reference to ‘extendsfdf2@GCC_3.0’/opt/lib/libstdc++.so: undefined reference to ‘eqdf2@GCC_3.0’/opt/lib/libstdc++.so: undefined reference to ‘divdf3@GCC_3.0’/opt/lib/libstdc++.so: undefined reference to ‘truncdfsf2@GCC_3.0’collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

does anyone known how to solve this one???

I've encountered the same error while trying to compile bacula.

I've managed to get around this problem by configuring project to link against libraries in /lib instead of /opt/lib, with someting like

LDFLAGS=-L/lib ./configure …

Thanks man !
Linking against /lib instead of /opt/lib helped me with compiling small programs

g++ -L/lib main.cpp

Now I am going to try with bigger things and yours:

LDFLAGS=-L/lib ./configure

Did you try ipkg update, ipkg install gcc, try installing amule over optware (dunno if its there), or just use Torrents ;)

Can you compile other packeges over gcc? if not deinstall gcc from optware and do it the "Oldfashion" way

Thanks you goterneme, but overwriting all /usr seems a little drastic.

Someone has tried compile gcc from the code[1] available in the western
digital website?
