I recently had to do a factory-roll-back on my laptop. It is connected to a wireless home network which includes a WDMBWE 1TB drive. I had MIO installed on it before, but hated it. Now, I’d like to access the drive locally over the WLAN without installing MIO. I have no need to get at the files remotely. Is there a stupid simply driver I can install so I can see the drive again? I can see the other computer and printers on the network, but I can’t see the WD drive at all. It is plugged directly into the wireless router.
Before my big crash, I had started storing stuff on the drive by mapping directly to the drive (not using MIO) so most of the stuff is not in the funky-proprietary format imposed by MIO. I really don’t understand any of it, and have no desire to “Hack” the thing. I just want it to store my stuff.
Someone please recommend a course of action.
