I am new and sorry, my english is not so good.
I have a My Worldbook II (blue Rings), 2x512 GB, used with mirror.
It is not working jet. When powering up, then rings are not lightening anyway and there is no access to the drive possible.
So I removed the HD-drives and built one of them into my computer, which is working under Windows XP Professional.
The Drive manager shows the hd with 4 Partitions, where the 4th ist nearly 500 Gb, so that must be then partition, which contains the data. But the partition is not accessable unter Windows; I only could formate it, what I didn't do, of course.
Now I was searching the Internet and saw your forum. So I learned, that the partition is a linux-partition and I understand, that it is not readable unter windows.
I installed ISF-Drives Software and saw the Partitions reported as Linux raid partitions. I could assign a windows drive letter to the partitions, but I cannot access then data, but only formate it.
So I would like to ask: Is there any possibility to rescue the data from the drive under my windows system or is it only possible to do it under linux?
In my thoughts, i had also the idea to connect the drives to another working my worldbook device by changeing then hd-drives but I already know, that this is only possible with the same release of Worldbook II (blue rings) and this is not so easy to get. I searched it for example on ebay, but I did'nt find any of it. Has any of you an idea where to get it from?
