Would this be an okay external hard drive for a 500G MBWE?
Final price is $90 for 500G.
It seems like given the challenge and effort so many have in mounting the internal hard drive on a Linux machine and controller that they may not even have to resuce their data that it may make more sense to simple share a FAT32 drive off the MBWE that would easily be plugged into a Windows machine with USB. That way if the Linux install fails to boot the MBWE you can at least get the data back easily. I read on this forum that it's not possible to RAID 1 this external disk to the internal, but some software should exist so that you can copy to both the internal and external shared disk if you want to maintain two copies of the same data for better protection in this solution.
