I looked over the information in this site, but got confused as to the best way to accomplish what I'm looking for.
I have a WD MyBook World Edition (1tb)
I very much disliked Mionet, so I uninstalled it and currently use MB as a mapped network drive. I would like to be able to access this drive via the internet while I'm outside of my local network. How can I do this? I'd like to upload and download files to the drive, plus share it with others. What is my transfer rate going to be? I'm on a 8 mbps broadband (i think) network. What is the GUI going to be like? Is there any way to maintain it as a Windows Mapped Network drive while I'm outside my local network? What would be the best/fastest transfer speed solution?
I currently have a DynDNS set up on my router… but don't know which ports to forward. I know my way around computers, but this is my first delve into Linux and hacking.
In advance, Thanks so much for your help!!
