I have php installed (through optware) and working properly with lighttpd (I followed the "Webserver" how-to in general). Now I've tried adding a multiple-file-upload functionality to my webpages, by means of a flash thingie calling a php script on the server side (MultiPowUpload, a pretty cool tool). It _almost_ works, in the sense that the server script is called, but chokes on a iconv() function call:
$uploadfile = $uploaddir . iconv("UTF-8", $target_encoding,basename($arrfile['name']));
It looks like php doesn't have an iconv module compiled-in:
Is there a way to get this module in, short of re-compiling all of php with the —with-iconv flag? I looked around for an optware package for this module, but couldn't find one (don't even know if that would be possible).
Any help? I do have libiconv installed through optware, but this doesn't help php.
